St. Louis, Missouri

St. Louis, the gateway to the west. We got there early, around 8:00.

We got on this ferris wheel kind of a car, max 5 people, with no windows except a tiny one by the door. No, Marv did not go up with us. ;) 4 minutes up, then we got out and were able to walk around this room way up in the middle of the Arch and stay up there as long as we wanted to, then a 3 minute ride back.

The view from the top included...

the Mississipi river,

and the Cardinals Stadium.

Then we toured the Museum at the bottom.

And walked to the Cardinals Stadium.

We drove past the St. Louis Ram's stadium.

And headed for Branson, Missouri. Got to Branson around 5 and drove through Main Street. What a busy place on a Friday evening! Fun to see all that is going on, yet decided this is not where we want to spend too much time. Stopped and got tickets for the Dixie Stampede's Saturday evening show. We found a State Park about 4 miles outside of Branson with a pool, laundry and full hookups. Great place to relax.
