Tuesday, June 14 continued...
The Palo Duro Canyon is 120 miles long and 800 feet deep.
It is the second largest canyon in the United States.
We had never camped in a canyon before. The scenery was just amazing!!!
This is right behind our camper, the guys just started climbing rocks.
Then someone told us of a hiking trail across the road from our campsite that went almost to the top of the canyon. We all went hiking!!!
Our campsite is the one closest to the top of the picture. I want to give you an idea of how high we were...
We saw mule deer,
and turkeys.
What an amazing place...
