Pikes Peak

After a good night's sleep, we were ready to go again. We had reserved seats for the 9:20 cog train to take us to the top of Pike's Peak. We got to Pikes Peak a little before 9, but it was the road that you can drive up with your car. Oops, the address for the Cog Train was at a different place, so we got there a bit late, at 9:10. We quickly went to the ticket gate, and got our tickets just at the last boarding call. We got on, and the train pulled out. Whew, we were so glad to get on, it was booked until 4...

We saw a few marmots, they live above the timber line, in the tundra.
We left there, had lunch, and headed southwest on 160. We wanted to stop this evening somewhere, but we weren't sure where. The drive was just gorgeous!!!

We wanted a place that had a laundry, showers. and wifi,  and didn't cost so much. My goodness, we found it.  A small place, doesn't look like much, very nice showers, $1.00 per load of wash, wifi, and very reasonable. We are good to go.  I don't even know what town we are in, but we have about 1.5 hours to Mesa Verde National Park, and that is were we plan to go next. Looking forward to a relaxing day tomorrow. :)
