Enjoying the Scenery

Friday, July 1st...
Now I've got to stop and tell you about this morning already. It is early, the sun is coming up over the rocks, beautiful...

We stopped at a small town for coffee, drove past a few marinas. We saw a lot of produce farms, boats, lighthouses, I can't even mention it all... and Marv saw this fishing pier LOADED with California seals. We stopped to look at them.

Soooooo cool!!!
And decided to make breakfast there. Blueberry pancakes, sausage and eggs.
We could hear the seals barking as we ate. :)
Saw more produce farms and people picking strawberries.
We stopped here to buy some.

They were making strawberry jelly.
Another stop, the produce we bought was fabulous!!!

Saw this lighthouse in the distance, and decided to stop in.

At the lighthouse we saw harbor seals! They also said they see whales sometimes...

Drove to San Fransisco

And the golden gate bridge!!!

Now we are camped in Wine Country RV Park in Rohnert Park, California.
The guys are playing Uno while I do this...

  1. Beautiful! It's so fun to see the seals, etc. We were in San Fran last summer and went out on Pier 39.

I'm interested to see where you go from here. Into Oregon? You should go thru Terrebonne and Sisters. Defenitely go over the Cascades if that's near your route for the NW.

  2. We would have loved to do more in San, but we were over the bridge already, on the North side, and decided not to go back, Fisherman's warf was on the itinerary, but didn't happen...
Thank you!!! We are just deciding where we want to go in Oregon. We are 20-30 minutes away.
